Home Screen Widget

The 3sparks Quick Actions widget puts four ways to start a chat on your home screen. It requires iOS 18 or later.

Add the widget

1. Touch and hold the home screen until the icons jiggle.
2. Tap + in the corner.
3. Search for 3sparks Chat.
4. Choose the small or medium size.
5. Tap Add Widget, position it, and tap Done.

Both sizes offer the same four actions. The small widget arranges them in a two-by-two grid, and the medium widget lays them out in a single row.

The four actions

• New chat — opens a fresh conversation.
• Camera — takes a photo and starts a chat with it attached.
• Photos — pick an image from your library to start a chat with it attached.
• Clipboard — starts a chat from what you copied. Text becomes your first message, and an image is attached.

Tapping any action opens 3sparks Chat with the content already in place, ready for your question.

Which connection it uses

The widget does not pick a model itself. It creates a chat the same way tapping New Chat in the app does:

• If one connection is marked Favorite, that one is used.
• If there is exactly one chat target, that one is used.
• Otherwise the app opens the chat chooser so you can pick.

Set a favorite in Connections if you want widget actions to go somewhere specific without asking. See Starting a Chat.

Ideas

• Photograph a label, a sign, or a whiteboard and ask about it straight away.
• Screenshot something, then use Clipboard to discuss it.
• Copy a link, use Clipboard, and fetch the page with Jina Reader.

Troubleshooting

• If nothing happens on tap, open the app once and confirm you have at least one connection or a downloaded local model.
• If the camera action fails, grant camera access in iOS Settings → 3sparks Chat.
• If the clipboard action starts an empty chat, the copied content type is not supported. Try plain text or an image.
• If actions go to the wrong model, set the connection you want as Favorite.
