Sync Preferences and Conflicts

3sparks Chat gives you control over what syncs through iCloud so you can avoid unwanted duplicates and keep device-specific setups when needed.

Sync preferences

When enabling iCloud Sync, choose whether to sync:

• Connections
• Instructions
• Keyboard prompts

New users may see these enabled by default. You can revisit preferences from settings.

Restart-required state

When iCloud Sync is enabled, the app may stage activation until restart. This avoids showing sync as active before the app is using the CloudKit-backed container.

Duplicates and conflicts

If two devices have similar local data, the app may ask you to review duplicates or conflicts. Chat divergence can require a choice, such as keeping this device, keeping iCloud, or keeping both as separate chats.

Troubleshooting

• If synced connections or instructions do not appear, reopen the screen or restart the app.
• If a duplicate review appears, read each option before merging or discarding.
• If chats diverge, choose Keep Both when you are unsure.
• If attachments appear incomplete, use available re-sync or refresh tools.
