Share Extension
Send content from another app straight into a new chat using the iOS share sheet.
How to use it
- Tap Share in any app.
- Choose 3sparks Chat.
- Add a question or prompt in the text field if you want one.
- Tap Post.
- Open 3sparks Chat to find a new chat holding the shared content.
Anything you type before posting arrives as your message alongside the shared content, so you can ask "summarize this" without opening the app first.
What you can share
- Text — selected text from any app.
- Links and web pages — one at a time.
- Images — one at a time. Discussing an image needs a vision-capable model.
Other content types are declined with a message saying the extension supports URLs, images, and text. PDFs and other documents go through the + menu in the composer instead. See PDFs and Text Files.
Which connection it uses
The new chat is created the same way the widget and the New Chat button create one:
- The Favorite connection, if you have set one.
- Otherwise the only chat target, if there is just one.
- Otherwise the app opens the chat chooser so you can pick.
If 3sparks Chat is not in the share sheet
- Scroll to the end of the app row and tap More.
- Turn on 3sparks Chat.
- Optionally drag it up to keep it near the front.
Troubleshooting
- If the extension does not appear, confirm the app is installed and try restarting the device.
- If a share is declined, the content type is not supported. Try sharing it as plain text.
- If a large image seems to hang, give it a moment to finish processing before dismissing the sheet.
- If chats land on the wrong model, set the connection you want as Favorite.
