OpenWebUI Guide
OpenWebUI provides a web interface for local models and can expose an OpenAI-compatible API for 3sparks Chat.
Connect OpenWebUI
- Start OpenWebUI and confirm the API is enabled.
- Use a LAN IP, remote host, or Tailscale IP your mobile device can reach.
- In 3sparks Chat, open Connections and tap +.
- Choose OpenWebUI.
- Leave the name blank for a generated name, or enter your own.
- Enter the base URL, such as
http://YOUR_SERVER_IP:8080. - Keep the route prefix used by your OpenWebUI instance, commonly
/api/. - Add an API token if your server requires authentication.
- Tap Create Connection, then fetch models and choose a default.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm Docker or your OpenWebUI service is running.
- Use the reachable server address, not
localhost. - If authentication is enabled, add the correct token.
- If requests fail, verify the route prefix for your OpenWebUI version.
