Attachments and Paste
3sparks Chat supports adding content through the + menu and by pasting into the composer.
Supported paste content
- Images from the clipboard
- Text snippets
- PDFs from compatible sources
- File content from supported document workflows
On iPad, hardware keyboard paste works with Cmd+V in the composer.
Preview before sending
When you add supported content, the app shows a preview or processing view. You can review the attachment, remove it, or send it with your typed message.
Token impact
Attachments use context. Text files and extracted PDF text can be large. Images use image tokens on compatible vision providers. If a prompt gets too large, remove content, send a smaller file, or use a model with a larger context window.
Privacy
Attached content is sent to the selected provider when you send the message. Local Model text and supported local vision workflows can keep processing on device.
Troubleshooting
- If paste does nothing, confirm the source app placed compatible content on the clipboard.
- If a file is too large, split it or paste the relevant section.
- If an image fails, switch to a vision-capable model.
- If PDF text extraction is poor, use the PDF image workflow with a vision-capable model.
