Anthropic Claude Guide

Anthropic connections use Claude's native API profile. Use this guide when you have an Anthropic API key and want 3sparks Chat to fetch available Claude models directly from Anthropic.

Add the connection

1. Open 3sparks Chat and go to Connections.
2. Tap + and choose Anthropic Claude.
3. Leave the connection name blank if you want 3sparks Chat to generate one, or enter your own name.
4. Confirm the base URL is api.anthropic.com and the API profile is Anthropic.
5. Paste your Anthropic API key into API Token. Tokens are stored securely in Keychain.
6. Tap Create Connection.
7. Tap Fetch Models, choose a default model, and tap Done.

Vision and model availability

Claude models that support image input can be used with photos, camera captures, pasted images, and compatible file workflows. Model availability can change by account, region, and Anthropic plan, so prefer Fetch Models over hardcoded model names.

If your selected default model becomes unavailable, the chat will show a warning. Use Switch Model in the chat or return to the connection and fetch models again.

Troubleshooting

• Verify the API key is active and has available credits.
• If model fetch fails, confirm the key belongs to an Anthropic account with API access.
• If image messages fail, switch to a Claude model that supports vision.
• If responses stop because of context size, lower the connection token limit or send less attachment content.
